Menuquavix is responsible for the personal data described here. Contact us about privacy at hello@menuquavix.site. We collect only what you send us through email or the contact form, plus short-lived technical records that protect the form from abuse. We do not use analytics, advertising trackers or third-party cookies, and we do not sell personal data.
Who is responsible
Menuquavix is responsible for the personal data described here. Contact us about privacy at hello@menuquavix.site.
What we collect
| What | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Your name, email address, restaurant name and message | When you email us or send the contact form | To reply and, if you hire us, to run the project |
| A keyed hash of your network address and the time of the attempt | When a form submission passes the form's checks, whether or not it is then sent | To limit repeated or automated submissions |
| A session cookie | Only when the contact page shows the form or you submit it | To protect the form against forged submissions and to carry a message to the next page |
| Text you typed, held briefly in the session | Only if your form submission has errors | So you do not have to type it again; it is cleared when the form is shown again |
| Standard server logs | When any page is requested | To keep the site running and secure; kept by our hosting provider |
Planner answers never reach us on their own; the brief is built on your device, and we see it only if you email or paste it.
The coded network address
When a form submission passes its checks, we store exactly two values: the first 32 characters of an HMAC-SHA256 hash of your network address, made with a secret key, and the time of the attempt. Nothing else about the submission is kept in that record. The coded value cannot practically be turned back into your address without our secret key. These records are kept in a private folder on the server that is not reachable from the web, and records older than 24 hours are deleted whenever the contact page is requested.
Legal bases and purposes
We use your details to respond to your inquiry and, if you become a client, to deliver the project and keep business records. We use the short-lived technical records to protect the site from abuse. We do not use your details for marketing unless you ask us to keep you informed.
How long we keep it
- Inquiries that go no further: removed a year after the last message between us.
- Client correspondence and project records: kept for as long as needed for the project and for tax and accounting obligations.
- Form protection records: deleted after 24 hours, as described above.
- Session data: cleared when the browser session ends or when the form is shown again.
Who we share it with
Personal data is never sold or rented out. Our email provider carries messages to us and our hosting provider runs the site, and both handle data only on our instructions. Ask us and we will tell you where your data is stored. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, to object to certain uses and to receive a copy. Several US states have privacy laws that give residents such rights. California's Consumer Privacy Act applies to businesses that meet thresholds such as annual gross revenue above $26,625,000, the amount in effect from January 1, 2025 [1]. Whether or not a particular law applies to us, we will respond to any reasonable request about your data. Email hello@menuquavix.site and we will reply within 30 days.
Children
This website is for business owners and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Cookies
We use one functional session cookie on the contact page, only when the form is shown or submitted. Our cookie notice has the details.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, the contact form uses security checks against forged and automated submissions, and form settings are stored outside the public part of the server. No method of sending data over the internet is perfectly secure, so please do not send card details, passwords or sensitive personal information by email or the form.
Changes
If the way we handle data changes, this page changes first, and the last updated line near the top moves to the new date.
