Menuquavix designs and builds websites for restaurants, cafés, bars and multi-location food brands in the United States. We focus on readable menus, simple booking and ordering, accessibility and pages that sound like the restaurant. The owner of Menuquavix has commercial interests in web design services.
What we do
We build restaurant websites around four jobs: show the menu, show the hours, give a sense of price and make booking or ordering easy. Everything else on a site, including the photography, the story and the design, should support those jobs rather than get in their way.
Our services cover new sites, redesigns, menu pages, booking and ordering setups, location pages for groups, mobile and speed work, photography layouts and search structure. The services page explains each one.
What we believe about restaurant websites
- The menu is the most important page. It should be real text, readable on a phone and accurate.
- Accessibility is part of the job. Guests with disabilities book tables and order food too. We design to WCAG 2.2 level AA as standard.
- Owners should be able to update their own site. A site that only the designer can change will fall out of date.
- Honesty builds trust. We do not invent reviews, results or statistics, on your site or on ours. The design concepts on this site are labeled as illustrative and fictional.
- Plain words work. Guests want to know what the food is, what it costs and when you are open, not marketing language.
How we work
We work remotely and take on projects for food businesses anywhere in the United States. Email is our main channel, so decisions are written down; calls are arranged for discovery and design reviews. Each project follows the same four phases, described on the process page, and every quote is written and itemized, as explained on the pricing page.
Who writes the guides
Our guides are written and reviewed by our editor, Chloe Adams. Each guide cites the agencies, courts and platforms that publish the rules it discusses, and labels secondary and commercial sources. Our editorial policy explains how we check and correct our work.
What we do not do
We do not run advertising, manage social media, sell ranking campaigns, resell software or give legal advice. When a question needs a specialist, we say so.
Disclosures
Menuquavix is owned by someone with commercial interests in web design services. The guides are written to help a restaurant owner whether they hire us or another studio, and no software provider pays us to be mentioned.
